A tale of souls and swords, eternally retold.

Sweet! I'm looking forward to this!

I only liked the Dreamcast version of this game!

The Dreamcast version is untouchable. I liked 2, 3, and 4 as well (not as much as 1, though). I played a good amount of 5, but I didn't care for the newer characters. The character creation aspects of 3, 4, and 5 were pretty well done. I still haven't seen any other fighting games pull it off as well as the SC games.

Sweet, didn't think we'd be getting another installment after they changed the entire character roster last time. I wonder if they'll keep them or bring back old characters.

Hmm. It'll be interesting to see what they do with the roster. Most (if not all) of the new characters from 5 were heavily overshadowed by the originals. I don't think they were that well designed, unfortunately. With Street Fighter III, the newer characters eventually became relatively popular after some time. I don't see that happening with SCV's characters.

It's astounding how little they've been able to improve this franchise over its lifespan...if at all.
Graphics look the same, animations look the same, same moves, same character designs. With each iteration, all they do is add in a whole bunch of hyper-finicky, timing-sensitive charge-up-strike-strength modifiers.
This is downright yawnworthy. I see no reason to play this instead of playing the GCN version of SC2 on my Wii.

The only ones who've seemingly have gotten over in any significant way are Alex and Ibuki.

If you think these games look the same from the Soul Edge era up til now you really need to get your eyes checked.
