It's not 8-bit this time. That's one positive sign.

Can't wait to see the 8 new masters for this game! Very Happy

Given Capcom's recent business practises with SFV and MVCI, their general uninterest in doing anything heavy with Megaman for the past like 10 years, as well as that whole Megaman Legends 3 debacle, I'd say a little trepidation is justified.

I'm not sure how to feel about Mega Man 11 for various personal reasons, but I'm super hyped for the Legacy and X Collections on the Switch!

Here's the full trailer that was streamed which flows better with the beginning of the short version.

A bit more excited about the X releases to be honest but I need more details on if they're getting physical collections (like the original 10 did) or digital-only releases and also which version of X3 will they put out since the last collection they released on PS2 & GameCube had the PS1 version which kinda sucked in comparison to the SNES one.

Looking forward to Mega Man 11 regardless, hopefully it'll be better than Inafune's broken game.

As for Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on Switch, here's hoping the first one will be an improvement over the 3DS version (and the others as well but it was worse on 3DS IIRC). According to this press release, It looks like they're adding the Rewind feature from the second collection to all versions of the first one so non-Switch owners will be getting a new patch for it soon.

Not 8-bit?

Thank God...

It's importan to remember the roots, but also, use what we can.

I don't know why this would be the game that would bridge this supposed gap.

Business practices or design philosophy?

Anything heavy?

Please tell me these visuals are under development... I'm all for an HD sequel but not with backgrounds almost as bland as Mighty No. 9...

They might cancel like last time, they put up so much hype and then cancel. I already went through 4 games like that. If it comes out, its a different thing. Heres hoping they don't. Mega man legends 3 wounds are still fresh, im still waiting for that demo!

It's a loose end that's gone on long enough and Capcom hasn't shown that they are going to continue the classic series on a yearly basis like they did back in the early 90s. The fans are sick of waiting for resolution and it's time that Capcom acknowledged once and for all whether they actually have the info that ties the two series together sitting in their office archives somewhere and whether they actually are willing to use it.

They put out a trailer showing the game in progress as part of the franchise's 30th anniversary celebration. You wouldn't do something like this unless it's official.

If Capcom didn't have that bit of background narrative lying around somewhere, but their writers decided to come up with it now, would any of us know the difference?
