This is a really under-appreciated series. Good to hear that the movies will be made more widely available, even if its only on HiDive.

Same here. Although, I plan to buy the physical release if I like them enough.

Yeah, because it is a mediocre show writing-wise. KyoAni gorgeous and stunning visuals were not enough to redeem it.

I've already seen these. I'LL BE HERE- Future takes place after the series and I'LL BE HERE- Past was like a compilation of the whole series.

Awesome. I love this series and plan on buying the physical release, but I'm excited to stream the movies too!

Yes... it's either an interesting strategy or a resounding cry of "we give up!" in regards to physical sales.
I'm already honestly impressed HIDIVE streams the usual physical only OVA episodes but the movies are the entire purchase so I think it's a shortsighted. But if it work out for them, it works.
Definitely works out for subscribers.

Are you suggesting that Sentai is having problems selling discs? I seriously doubt that, especially with a company that continues to primarily rely on physical sales for profits. Streaming already physically released movies is frankly a great way to stimulate disc sales; how would that be interpreted as giving up?

If anything, it's nice to see more anime films stream. That's the last frontier, for the most part. I've been waffling back and forth as to whether or not to buy it, but this saves me some time. I can decide whether or not to after I watch the movie. A good friend swears that the movie makes the entire series better in hindsight, so...
