Sweet now all that's left is to see if Risa Taneda will come back as Xenovia

I would hope but i think its not happening. if its coming out next year that would mean its probably done recording/ or half way done.

I have the same concern about the dub. If Funimation licenses this next year, I wonder if they will try to get Teri Rogers to come back for Akeno.

Uh, you can never be sure of the timeline of when an anime is recorded. Ex. Houseki no Kuni recording was already done before the animation for ep1 was finished, while say... SaeKano S2 aired in April 2017 only began recording in Jan that year.

This is one of FUNimation's better selling series, there is no "if" here, only "when". Anime hyper

Of course, we can't discount the possibility of someone with deep pockets like Netflix or Amazon swooping in to snatch it away, tho the thought of a company like Amazon paying top dollar for Highschool DxD amuses me to no end. Laughing

Teri Rogers is apparently back in the TX area but she has yet to make a return to voice acting. They already have Bryn Apprill doing a serviceable job as a replacement, and I think it's more than likely they'll just keep rolling with her.

That is something I've been wondering about in general when it comes to simuldubs. In general, Funimation goes back to re-record lines for discs if an actor is unexpectedly absent and needs a substitute for an episode or two, like if an actor strains their voice and can't record that week. However, it isn't clear how they'll approach it if a role is recast, and then the prior actor becomes available by the time later seasons arrive. My guess would be that they will keep going with the more recent actor.

they had done this in Dragon Ball before.Meredith McCoy(18) and Brad Jackson(Oolong) took a break from voice-acting and were replaced in Kai,but ever since Battle of Gods movie, they had returned to their original roles.

As expected. I hope Risa can return, but she's taking things slowly right now. Sad
