Looks like they'll be keeping the Crying Freeman volumes the same length as the Viz releases: volume 1 is listed as being 400 pages long and a mear 15 bucks. That's a great deal if I've ever seen one.

Actually, I'll agree with you there that's pretty good price for 400 pages. Probably the best I' seen.

And everything is still overpriced compared to Japan, where you can get a volume of manga from $3-4, judging from my small collection of Japanese manga.

Yeah, but the publishing industry is never going to catch up to the sheer amount of matterial released here, so we're probobly never going to see those kind of prices.
And I got the impression that those manhwa were pretty low quality (except for Nambul, which I have heard decent things about). As for the best deal I've ever seen, that would go to Bone one volume, 1300 pages on high quality paper of one of the greatest comics ever for a mear 40 bucks.

The Crying Freeman thing's a little disappointing, since the Viz Perfect Collection of vol. 1 has 50 more pages than the Dark Horse version, but you pay $5 less.

Never seen them I guess....the things I've seen mostly cost about $18..but they were probably well popular items..I'm not that big on manga but I'll read a few items here and there. But normally I'm on novels like right now I love the VampireHunter D novels.
