Some of their best soundtracks were his work. I'm kinda hoping he just goes freelance so he can provide music for any company, for any game.

Motoi Sakuraba does great work but he absolutely has been phoning in the last few Tales games.
The last good Sakuraba Tales OST was Vesperia. Graces was horrid, the non-Shiina tracks in Zestiria were incredibly boring, and outside of one or two tracks Berseria was generic.

Shame to see Shiina.... Go....
Even though everyone hates Tales of Legendia, even people who dislike that game typically admit it has the best overall Tales soundtrack possibly ever. He also did a few tracks in Klonoa 2 (a game filled only with fantastic music to begin with, I think the game used 6 composers or something for a lot of good variety).
I personally found Zestiria too boring to even reach the parts with Go Shiina's music, but that is what youtube is for and man, if he had done the music for the whole game, I might've stuck around just for that (or at least stuck around a bit longer with Zestiria)

Oh god, no
I loved his soundtracks, especially the God Eater ones. Lots of his tracks gave me Iwasaki Taku vibes, I'm sooo looking forward to each of his works.
Also I loved how they made sure to release every God Eater track. They released 3 soundtracks with 6 discs for 2 games (and their remakes). They made sure every track gets released.
For the 5th anniversary they also released a special soundtrack featuring 2 discs, one with all vocal tracks and one with over 30 fan voted favorites.
For the anime they released a normal soundtrack and each limited BD version had a bonus disc featuring a soundtrack-only-version of all episodes! So yeah, you could hear all tracks used in all episodes in all versions!
I've never seen soundtrack releases as passionate and complete as God Eaters ones.
I really really really hope he'll be back as a freelance composer for the announced next God Eater project and I'm really looking forward seeing him as a composer in future anime.
