I have to point out that Stormblood did NOT add new "alliance raids". That's coming in a future patch, but is not in the game right now. Also, I hate how they didn't give actual subscriber count. Due to the expansion cost and the cosmetic item sales on the Mog Station, its impossible to guess how much money is actually from subs.

The expansion pack also includes Doma, which is Yugiri's homelands, to some degree. A region that, however loosely, seems to be modeled after Asian and Middle Eastern cultures.

I actually found it amusing that one of those regions sort of felt like a fantasy version of the world in "A Bride's Story".

The Azim Steppes? Yeah. it's totally a mash up of all the turco-mongol regions.
Basically it's more Ala Migho that is shaped based on Indian and Afghan culture I found.
Doma is clearly China with Japanese vibes (Samurai, Shinobi and provincial manors) while Hingashi is just literally Japan.

I just finished the main quest and seriously all these news are amply deserved. Like many commentators said, Stormblood could have been it's own Final Fantasy with a story like that. The new dungeons and boss fights, especially the final one, are awesome and 200% Final Fantasy, I just can't wait to get to the high end content!
