He's doing such a great job in Attack on Titan right now that I actually wouldn't mind Bryce playing Soma! ...But that's not going to happen. He's never worked with Sentai before. Brittney Karbowski is such an obvious choice for Papi, it's almost funny. Same for Monica Rial as Suu and Shelley Calene-Black as Ms. Smith. Not that I mind!

Shannon Reed is back in the assistant directors chair under Kyle Jone's wing. That's good. The more training, the better. Something tells me Allison Sumrall was cast as Miia just for screaming "DARLING" perfectly lol

I'm normally really optimistic about dubs but this one just feels...off for some reason.
I'm giving Brittney Karbowski the benefit of the doubt because she's a long time vet and this may just be a poorly mixed trailer. But Miia is really throwing me off, I can't quite explain it but her voice isn't something I can get behind. It sounds too mature and deep for snek girl. |

Or Rachnera. Her deeper register would have been great for her. For some reason im always slightly surprised when i see Monica Rial cast in Sentai stuff these days. I know she's from the area and got her start there but she's doing much more stuff for Funi now outside of VA work . Also Jad Saxton is working with Sentai more and more, which is great. We could always use more Jad. Now im really glad i preordered this months ago. |
