Well, the animation seen was certainly detailed and flowed nicely. I still wish Ishii was doing the music though. I can't really understand why they changed to traditional orchestrated background music when the style used for the TV series was such a perfect fit.

*cries* My work computer wasn't able to decompress the file and so I didn't get to see it yet. I'll have to watch when I get home.

The style of the music fit the TV series because the TV series was like totally different compared to the original manga, which this OVA is based on Razz

Would it be against the rules to ask for a direct download or something off of somebody? Every time I try to load this thing it crashes my internet connection for some reason. Confused

Was this the same trailer shown at AX/Otakon? Also, most of the footage shown in the trailer takes place in some of the latter graphic novels that are out now(GN 5 & 6). Anyone pic up the new special magazine yet that came out this month that's linked on the site?

That doesn't change the fact that the music was good. I've read the original manga (well, up to what Dark Horse has released in the states) and I found the anime soundtrack running through my head in several scenes-it's a really good fit. I guess they decided an orchestral soundtrack gives it a more "epic" feel. Plus, the larger budget of an OVA means they can actually hire enough musicians to play it. But I still think I'd rather have the old composer back.

I'm kinda mixed about the music as well. I usually prefer orchestral but the music in the original animation series did play off it very well. Guess we'll just have to wait until the holidays to see how it all plays out.

What I'd like is more concrete info on how many episodes it'll be. The manga right now is in the middle of a HUGE EPIC fight and I'm wondering if the series will end after it, or go on to an even BIGGER fight. I just don't know how much blood will spill to vampires so it will literally turn the worlds oceans to blood.

Can't really say it looks impressive, the style seems to have gone missing, the presentation is way too epic and the music is pretty darn crappy. Looks like the usual super hero flick to me now. And this "more faithfull to the (Imo inferior) manga" thing is going to bring this thing down really hard.

Question: you...thought Millennium (or, well, anything really, Hellsing or otherwise) was inferior to Incognito? Now THIS I gotta hear. Shocked

Yes! I finally saw the trailer, though it did crash my windowsmedia player. Anyway...I thought it looked pretty darn good. I'm SO glad they are going to stick to the manga. I hate Incognito...bring on the Nazis! W00t.

Yeah, Incognito wasn't worth the cell he was drawn on. However, what the anime did far better was the mood, especially in the first few episodes. They have this dark, eerie feeling - the way Alucard was standing under a red sky, relishing the taste of the night...

Anyway, it's hard to tell because it's such a short clip but I fear for the mood in this OAV.

It's good to finally see a version of the trailer that's not fan pirated. Oh and I had no trouble playing the trailer probabally because I've got this monster installed on my machine.
