I like this artstyle-it strikes a good balance between episode one's animeish artwork and ep 2's realistic style. Hopefully the game will be more like the first episode than the second.

Also: "Thus Spake Zarathustra?" Yeah, we get the theme you're going for, now, Namco. I hope Xenosaga IV is named after Nietzsche's book "The Gay Science." Just to see what everyone thinks of that title. :p

Prediction: The last episode will be called "The Anti-Christ."

No the final episode of the Shion storyline is what I got from reading that.

Xenosaga 1 + 2 is coming to the DS also. I hope it doesn't take it sweet time getting over the States like the last two.

Yeah, this is the last of Shion saga. If I remember right, including Xenogears, this is a 6 part series. I guess, make that pretty sure, the next three will be on the Playstation 3.

I agree that the character designs look a tad better, like a pairing of the two. Shion's outfit is terrible though. It doesn't fit her character at all. KOS MOS looks pretty weird too.

KOS MOS hasn't really changed all that much. I like Shion new outfit, it's Jin I don't really like. It looks like barf green for the screenshots. I guess only the Uzuki's make big changes to wardrobe.

I dunno bout this one. It's bad enough Yasanori Mitsuda bowed out of the Xenosaga Project (though Yuki Kajiura stepping in was fine news indeed- her scoring was as good as Mitsuda's) but now the creator and director had been fired before the sometime either before or during the second one. And that one was a far cry from the first two (Xenogears and Saga). I just hope this one goes somewhere this time. The last one was just running around aimlessly and doing boring long winded fetch quests.

I like Jin's new outfit. It's a nice Xenogears reference.

Is it really just the end of Shion's story and not the whole series?Hope so. And Xenogears is not part of it. The director(or someone similar, dont remember who but it was an important guy) said that they are two separate entries in the same series, but unrelated(think of it as there being an FF7 series, and then an FF10 series. They are both Final Fantasy series and share common elements, but they are completely unrelated.). Besides at the rate the story is going, no way in hell is Xenogears gonna be part 5 of xenosaga.

It seems that Episode III will be the end of Xenosaga entirely, not just the Shion portion.

Until I hear otherwise, I'll just assume that Episode III is the final installment. If there are more, then I'll be happy. But if there aren't, I won't be suprised.

I'm going to assume that Xenogears is part 5 of the series because that is what I've read. My question is: Will they remake Xenogears when the time comes, or will we have to dust off our old copies of the game and replay for continuity?

Also, I hope they release a DVD of all the cutscenes from ep 2 with the ep 3 game like before.

Namco would have to pay SQ'Enix to call it Xenogears instead of Xenosaga. It's a remake.
