Oh God, Seed Destiny the absolute worst Gundam series of all time and just a porta john of an anime series. Really Seed wasn't all that terrible being a modern retelling of the original Gundam series basically. Destiny on the other hand is just pure garbage from the shitty main characters, the lazy as hell animation, from the outright retcons from the first series that make no sense, to finally having none of the nuance or subtlety in their themes. The Earth Federation were a bunch of mustache twirling caricature villains and the main villain had a neon sign over his head in the first episode that said "I AM THE MAIN VILLAIN OF THE SERIES!" I hate Destiny with a freaking passion if you like it, good for you, but I hate that series.

Of these shows, Mnemosyne is the only one that seems to be premium members only.

I see Funimation is still trying to push the "This show is too extreme for your virgin eyes! (unless you give us money)" angle in their marketing for it.

I really wish Crunchyroll would add Dennou Coil to its catalog now that it has been released on disc in North America. I doubt it's because the NHK is asking an arm and a leg for rights. Even better would be adding some difficult-to-find classics like Monster, Juuni Kokuki, or Nodame Cantabile.

I make a lot of recommendations over at MAL and often feel bad knowing that suggesting excellent older shows like these will just drive people to illegal streams and torrents.

Watched a little but of DB Super on the side (while doing something else), and found it reasonably fun.

On the other hand, I lasted two episodes of Hyperdimensional Neptunia before throwing in the towel. That show is seriously not my boat-floater.

You can skip the first 20 or so episodes of DB Super and just watch the movies Battle of the Gods and Resurrection F. Those episodes are nothing but recapping those movies at a super slow pace with much worse animation.

Some of this seems a bit late, as some of these titles have been available on CR, at least in the U.S., for over a week.

However, I very happy that many of these shows will be available to those outside the U.S. I want my fellow anime fans outside the U.S. to be happy too.

Nodame Cantabile (the first season) at least is available on Amazon, but to many I understand it may as well be not available.

I am glad for our fellow fans in Libya, but since when that country is part of Europe? O_o; Did they just switch places with the UK since they feel they are not part of Europe? Laughing

I wish crunchy makes a similar push soon to make at least the most marketable part of the Funi additions available in Latin America.

I understand that you're just trying to give me good advice, and I'm sure you're right too. However, since the most I'm willing to invest in this show monetarily is my continued Crunchyroll subscription -- which isn't specifically for this show anyway -- this is my only option for now. So I'm going to have to continue with the series there, at least for as long as I'm willing to watch it. Appreciate the effort, though.

No worries just thought I would give you some friendly advice. I don't watch the anime really at all I just kind of keep up on the events.

Okay, but it's also the third-bestselling post-2000 anime series in Japan in terms of disc sales, so you can see why Crunchyroll would consider it a good license.

Jesus, how is that possible? There is literally not one redeeming thing about that show. All the characters are terrible especially Shinn, Athrun, and Kira. The animation is some of the laziest you will find in an anime series in decades. You will see the exact same shot during fights a good 3-5 times in a single episode. They pulled a complete retcon with the revival of Muu from the first series. His MS blew up about a hundred yards from the bridge of their ship. The captain looked directly at his MS blowing up. Not like he was off in the battlefield and his MS blew up. He died in front of their eyes yet miraculously he was alive the whole time. The new MS are pretty terrible in this series with the titular Destiny Gundam being such a lazy design. Finally like I said earlier there is no nuance to this series theme. The Earth Federation are Snidley Whiplash characters who are evil just to be evil and the main villain was the obvious villain from the first episode. Again I don't hate Seed it was an alright modern variation of the original Gundam series but Destiny is pure garbage.

If you're in the UK, you might be a bit unsettled over DB Super episode 87, given similarities to a recent event.

The ultimate accomplishment for CR with streaming availability is worldwide except Japan. They would need the Netflix money to do that.
