. . . . . . so there was an episode of Tsukiuta where Toshiki Masuda's character was talking about his favorite mecha anime, and then he got to voice act in it, and I saw this and thought of that.

That was a cute episode.

So is this tied to Unicorn? Or should it stand alone? Thunderbolt is a masterpiece, so I'm interested in more of these Gundam ONAs.

I'm not feeling it in the MS design, I hope there's something mysterious or powerful under the hood of those modified units especially the Tristan, chances are the Tristan may be a testbed for the Bio Computer that's in the F91.

I can't imagine there's very much of Axis left after Char's Counterattack. That place was always more trouble than it was worth.

But my interest is piqued. These new OVAs and ONAs for Universal Century Gundam has really revived that part of the franchise.

Those are going to be pretty short episodes. I hope they release them as a compilation after their done airing. Having an English dub on the release would be nice too.

It's set not long after Unicorn, during its aftermath. It's about spoiler[looking for remaining psychoframe samples] after what Banagher manage to do near the end of Unicorn. Additional Edit: Like Thunderbolt, it mentions a couple of things, but it's mostly stand alone.

I think the novel's strong point, other than its past ties to CCA and eventual ties to F91, was how it put MS-variation types in the spotlight. I heard it's pretty action-packed too.

If this is a success, I wonder if they'll do a F91 reboot.

Elpeo Ple is the "mother" of the Ple series. She is a legitimate newtype that was cloned to make the Ple series which is why she is a "newtype" and the rest are "cyber newtypes."

No, you're right, this is the first female Gundam protagonist, at least in anime. Personally, I'd have preferred an AU so that she would be more relevant to the timeline. Here she's just background noise to the scope of the UC era.

Read carefully, 5 minutes long ? Laughing
No man, it won't be 5 minutes long, each episode will be 3 minutes long. 180 seconds episodes. 5 in total.
What a joke.

No, absolutely not.

There's been Chris (0080) who's one of the main three protagonists (Al, Chris, Bernie), there was Mina in Astray (who had an entire sidestory dedicated to her) and Asuna in Ecole Du Ciel, Depending on your definition of protagonist, there's probably more like Cagalli too.

In animation, sure, but you never specifically stated animation.
