If there were any doubt as to who they are trying to appeal to with the series, there is no longer with lines like these: "Do you want food? A bath?... Or me?," or "You seem sleepy. Want to sleep together with me?" (Not from the book itself...I hope, but still on the publisher's website). Just what a mother wants on Mothers' Day, knowing your son is thinking of you when they use the term MILF.
I don't even want to know what makes something "Mom-flavored" or how they decided on it. Sisters are one thing but moms are just....Nooooope. |

"Mom-flavored" candy....
I can't stop laughing. That's so wrong. I thought "You seem sleepy. Want to sleep together with me?" was bad too. |

I said before I don't assume the worst about a show without reason, there wasn't one before but now there is! The problem I see is that some good-hearted moms will think their young sons are beginning to appreciate them with kind attention (flowers, notes) but their young pervs will be thinking something else entirely

For younger children, the sleeping line is one a mother may actually say, but the other line? Yeah...no. Can't think of a mother-to-child context for that. I suppose this is the natural progression once Japan started getting tired of sisters. |

I was going to say something about those innuendo-dripping lines, but looks like everyone else thought the same things.
I guess what's next will be grandmothers. |

Yah, the premise of the LN is fine but the using that line on that son, just creepy.
I'm wondering what the next big thing after this will be? Aunts? Oi vey! |

Minamoto-kun Monogatari
Granted its a harem so it's only a part of it. The manga has been going on since 2011 and is up to volume 9. Scanlations are also keeping pace. |

This light novel seems quite exciting! What better way to make adventures simpler than having a motherly friend tagging along?
That last quote does seem odd...Perhaps it's a reference of how some mothers let their kids sleep with them when they're frightened by the dark? |

I think that certain doujinshi artists will have a field day with this.

if the selling point of this novel is the mother figure, a mature woman, then why would I want to see her wearing highschool uniforms? lol smh

Because shonen and light-novel moms age extremely well, it seems. |

Well, between Berserk and Re:Monster, how much more do you need? And those are rather tame stuff compared to some of the others out there... Older fans might remember Urotsukidoji which certainly qualifies, so none of those things are exactly new.. |
