Well it looks like Sentai is doing an excellent job of getting me to cut down on the number of simulcasts I follow. Frees up time for my backlog.

The unintended consequences of Too Much Money in Anime. Wonder if that could be trademarked?

Wow is Sentai trying to make us hate them?

It's working.

I think it's great that Crunchyroll and Funimation finally have some competition again, their monopoly is slowly crumbling away.

Hilarious how we went from:
CR-Sentai(as the main licensor for disk rights)

Funi got the hate (and still get it because they suck, but now you aren't forced to use their trash website any longer)

CR-We're now licensing stuff, including disk rights, bye Sentai!

CR-Funi (surprise, we're making Funimation as our distributor. Oh no, a monopoly! But yay, no longer do people need to subscribe to 10 services to watch everything)

Amazon-Sentai (Hah, not so fast!)

The balance has been regained slightly, but we don't know for how long it's going to last.

You're missing the part where Anime Strike is a ripoff. I already pay for Amazon Prime and they want me to drop an extra five bucks a month on top of that for Anime? Screw 'em.

I wonder if this is Sentai's fault. Are they not including CR as a platform because they don't want to or has the CR-Funi alliance made it impossible for them to do so even if they wanted? I'd hate to be hatin' on Sentail if they have no choice but to go a non-CR route. As a Canadian, AP is no worse for me than being put on TAN, Netflix or Hulu. I have a subscription to Netflix but having to wait until the whole show is available drives me nuts, so I never wait for it.

If it means not having to pay Hulu 7.99 a month while still having commercials, it doesn't seem too bad to me. Having the number of titles they have so far doesn't hurt in making it worth the while. I'd prefer it were included in Prime, of course, but it has been worth the price for me so far. Of course, it may not be for others, especially if you don't make use of Prime otherwise.

competition sucks.
why can't it be all communistic and be all on one channel.

maybe a guberment run anime channel is what is needed.

komrades...

The point of competition is to make things cheaper for the consumer. This is doing the opposite.
