And then after that, a third season of semi-original adaptation rather than following the original source.

So I guess the chances for a third season are pretty good.

AFAIK, there's no content left uncovered from the novels, except for the two volumes focusing on Azusa from Rikka.

Wishing for a Rikka spin off, material-wise it's still pretty much possible.
Regardless, a movie retelling doesn't guarantee a sequel, many of KyoAni's popular series got em.

I really like Azusa Tadokoro, so I'd totally love another series about Azusa...Sasaki.

Why would they stop? If this propery is making money for KyoAni they should keep making more anime of it.

I also wish they would do a third season, but hey, the original author said the anime made her wish to continue writing Euphonium so maybe!

KyoAni is going all out on this with series and this is truly a great hit for them. I just wish they would stop and drop all this yuribaiting. Be faithful to the original source and be done with it even if that ended in het.

I kind of loved the ending, and don't really need more, but I would definitely be okay with a couple of OVAs focusing on specific charcters, like Azusa, especially.

There's a little bit of extra shorts from the fourth volume like Kumiko/Hazuki/Sapphire investigating a haunted section of the school at night, Aoi's backstory (which is really fascinating and adds a lot of context to her inclusions in the anime), and the reason why Yuuko and Natsuki bicker. The remaining sections were relatively adapted into the two seasons.
Additionally, the novel fanbook has two new shorts: one focusing on the yearly recital concert Kitauji holds without the graduating 3rd years and one focusing on a joint concert with Rikka High School at a local amusement park.
That's all in addition to the two Rikka novels (which I personally feel are better than the main story).

Do you know why Yuuko and Natsuki bicker? I really want to find out but I can't find the light novels in English.

I'd much rather see several more seasons with the main cast than a possible spinoff anime with just azusa, it's ok if they wanna make that also, but I wanna see more cumiko and the band. Her other two main friends were barely even in season 2. It doesn't sound like a new anime for that would be coming anytime soon then unless it was original which seems doubtful.

Hmm. Then I'd love to see those. Especially Aoi, she didn't get much spotlight and felt a little off-place now that you mention it.
