Hopefully, it's better than the NES game.

Am I the only person who has trouble wrapping their head around the notion of an Urusei Yatsura video game in this day and age?

It's bound to be. The old one had a palette of five colors and entertainment value comparable with slowly crushing your hand between the car door. Still, amazing news... I suppose collected editions of the manga are still selling well enough in Japan to warrant this release. One would think it's all Inu Yasha for and after nowadays, so in that way, it's refreshing news to see them announce this title.

Too bad there are no screenshots or any other info about the game. It sure would be nice to know what it looks like and how it's going to play like.

EDIT: nice to know what...

Yea. Im really interested to see what type of gameplay there will be. Maybe some giant game of intergallactic DS tag? XP They've confirmed it will make good use of the dual screen, so ill be interested to see what they do with that

That's what makes it so cool! Some old school fun game like that is exactly what we need. Besides, it's not really that shocking considering how many Yu-Gi-Oh games are out there.

P.S. Now if only they made a Maison Ikkoku or a Mermaid Saga game...

Well, new if is out with screenshots.

You can use the stylus to touch the girls, but if you touch inappropriate places, you will be punished.

That's right, a date sim. All the main females (Lum, Ran, Okyki, Sakura, Benten, Shinbou, Ryuunosuke) will up for grabs with camos from others. Need the less, here's the link.

Despite my great hate for IGN, it does ensure what I was thinking, Ataru being the main character. With the screenshots given by Magic Box show Ataru as the character running out town, so it either a lazy character design or Ataru.

I suggested Hojo sponsor a City Hunter dating-sim, because that would be the best ever. He seemed fairly amused at the idea. UY should be an anti-dating sim where Lum tries to stop Ataru from macking on the ladies. Anyway, I wonder if it's worth it to pester Animeigo or Bandai to get the domestic rights...

Well, that would be a first... I think. Well, since Ubisoft is doing Lunar Dragon and Sprung, if it does make the trip over, chances are Ubisoft, Bandai, or Natsume, but that's is a pretty big if. Sprung didn't really "take off" over here. Oh well, Yes Asia, here I come.
