Interesting...

I hope whatever they plan to adapt will be worth waiting for.

Having another Kingdom anime would be beyond [expletive] amazing.

If not Kingdom, I think another Tokyo Ghoul anime would be a solid bet.

Not excited whatsoever. Whenever a WYJ title get animated the adaptation always turns out to be utter garbage. If the title they chose this time is tame and nowhere near as gory as Kingdom, Terra Formars, Tokyo Ghoul and Gantz then perhaps it could be decent.

That's an issue with the studio, not the magazine. Hunter x Hunter has a ton of gore, but Madhouse did it justice.

The issue is a lot of series, just in general and not just WYJ, don't get the TLC they deserve. There are ways to show gore and blood without it looking like trash. It's where direction is so crucial. But then you could get a series like Kingdom or Berserk where the direction is irrelevant when it's given trash animation via CGI. Or just trash animation in general.

I never blamed the magazine for the terrible adaptations. Hunter x Hunter doesn't have anywhere near as much gore as the titles I have mentioned and the staff was creative enough to find ways to present it well. I agree that many series don't get the adaptations they deserved and that is my issue with how studios adapt WYJ's titles. They were nothing more than ads to promote the source material which is a lazy way to make income (though given by Japan's economy it can't be helped). That's why I am not excited for this at all, for all I know the cycle would be repeated again.

If the site name is KDA, it's gotta be some sign or abbreviation of the series name. And apparently, the ongoing series in Weekly Young Jump with that abbreviation is "Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun"

Sorry guys, but no Kingdom for ya.

That would make the most sense, nice catch. Pony Canyon have helped with the producing on Days, which is also a soccer anime and in summer they seem to be producing Welcome to the Ballroom.

I am not a religious man, but Harambe... if you're out there, please make this a fresh remake of Tokyo Ghoul that's more faithful to the manga.
