Because I'll spend hard-earned money on this, that's why.
At least the first installment.

Darn, I don't buy newtype. It's way too expensive.
Oh, I'm surprised Viz didn't get the license for this.

Oh my God, Crayest Raygal is right! It really is 1992 all over again!
Kinda sounds like Angelic Days:Evangelion::Fumoffu:Full Metal Panic, if you understand any of what I just said.

I'm afraid you're wrong. Angelic Days, or Girlfriend of Steel as is the English translation of the original title, is set in an alternate Eva universe. Fumoffu is 100% compatible with the original series. You could think of it as being the parts that you didn't see during the first series.

All right, so Tenchi Muyo:Tenchi Universe?
Or Nuku Nuku:Nuku Nuku Dash?

YES!
I won't buy NewType, but here's hoping to a graphic novel format!

You'd think that wouldn't you? GAINAX has proven that they'll do anything possible to cater to Eva fanboys and rake in tons of money in the process.

Fortunetly, I have read that there will indeed be a manga series coming out after this series is published in Newtype. This manga will be released in 2006.

Because if it ever, did, how would Gainax be able to finance all of their other projects like Melody of Oblivion and Re: Cutey Honey and Gunbuster 2?
Bizarrely enough, the first and foremost effect of an Eva spinoff a year for ten years running now is that it allows Gainax a much higher degree of artistic freedom than most other studios are used to. There's a reason you don't see Gainax doing animations for TV commercials, for example ^^

So I bought my first issue of Newtype anyway. The Eva manga is pretty interesting. We'll see.
