Good article. Hopefully it will get more of the NYT readers to watch Ghibli works.
One significant non-Miyazaki related error in the 4th paragraph from the end. "Animation, which arrived in Japan with the American occupying force..." Someone needs to let this guy know that commercial animation in Japan goes back to 1917. Guess it's time for me to write a letter to the NYT. |

Also, when you do that, provide links to prove your source of the fact that animation in Japan goes all the way back to 1917 (and I know of at least two websites, one of them being RightStuf.com, it has a small history lesson on Anime on its website)

Isn't that link effectively pointing to an illegal download? Google have already been threatened big-time by several information providers about spidering and caching protected content. |
