Those prices are fairly average though. Looking hip ain't cheap.

Perhaps first PM should be AM?...

Strangely accurate English in that sign, not to mention having a translated signboard in the first place?...

Cool concept but daaaaaang those prices.

Still, I hope this place becomes a haven to those who need it.

Nope, sounds right. 12AM is midnight, 12PM is noon (I know, it kinda does not make sense to me either, but that's just how it is).

They're actually cheaper than my hair salon.... And here I have to special order my own hair dye because no one at my salon uses unnatural colors but me.

That's why I now dye my own hair unless I have to get a haircut.

But looking like you haven't cut your hair for months and just woke up should be free. That guy with the Persona 5 haircut should ask for his money back. Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

"Normal prices" ?
For women, sure, the prices are way higher but for a normal "male haircut" this is crazy.
Just cutting over 5000 Yen (50$)?
Where I live for men just cutting is around 20$ while a budget hairdresser does it for 10$.

So they MUST specialize in cliche spiky anime hero hair right? How much for a Cloud Strife?!?! I got a Barrett going on right now, should be a piece of cake, just a matter of some extensions!

Normally I would get my hair cut before a vacation. Now I have reason to wait.

Think I'll stick to my $14 barber, thanks.

I'm currently living in Japan and the average price for a haircut is about 1500 yen, the most expensive I had was 2500 yen and it took 40 mins. That being said I might want to visit this place when I have time.

The salon caters to people, of both sexes, who want exotic hairstyles: It's a lot easier to explain to customers, especially the stereotypical introverted nerds who are "embarrassed" to go to a regular salon and, ergo, have little experience with how things work, that prices average about $50 then having to do the dance of "Haircuts start at $20 because some people might want something simple done; You don't".

The salon has extra experiences such as manga & artbooks to read and anime music playing constantly in the background (I assume there is a channel) ; Those didn't buy themselves and I don't know how many manga/ anime companies would be willing to comp a salon, the way fashion magazines do.

The stylists are specifically trained in doing anime hairstyles, which means they have extra cred under their belts and are worth more as stylists: That's how the industry works EVERYWHERE.

All told, those prices are pretty reasonable and are par for the course for a middle class salon.

Also, Holy Crap is this right up my alley!

I think it's basically her stepping on her dad's back. Saw it with Asumi and her dad in Twin Spica.
