Just took a look at the survey from the link. Mad that Funimation could have had AnoHana and Nichijou. I really should of have voted in that poll. *slams head on desk* Damn you, hindsight!

Season 8 Voyage 4 comes out November 22nd. As for FT since they usually release the sets every other month, they'll probably announce it later. |

Neat, I figured Omamori was never going to come here at this point.
Edit: DVD only though :/ |

Pretty meager offerings this year, Funi.

Wow, older titles and some DVD only. I wonder if this was a situation where they got Omamori Himari and Good Luck as part of some package deal with other titles. Did they get streaming rights as well to add to their catalog or is this only for home video release?
Sword of the Stranger is a good pickup but like Girl Who Leapt Through Time I already own the Bandai BD and don't see a reason to double dip. |

It said in the article that there was a poll a few years ago that the two shows were on (Future Diary, Ben-To, Guiltiy Crown and a couple other shows Funi have released were on there as well), and as near as I can tell these shows are only for home video release. But they might stream them as well if only to get awareness up. |

I don't know they also held onto Omamori Himari, but I believe Kadokawa Pictures USA held the license for Ninomiya-kun and a few other titles that didn't get physical distribution deals. Those titles did end up on Crunchyroll for a while I believe, like the two titles in the article.
So I wonder how and why these were obtained, especially when they'll only be released on DVD and likely sub-only. Also, I would think Crunchyroll would get them back considering their recent partnership with Kadokawa Pictures. Like it has been mentioned, maybe it's part of some package. Would have been interested in Ninomiya-kun, but I'm expecting a pretty bare-bones release. Well, at least it'll probably be cheap. |

Yea, but that poll was something like 4 1/2 years ago and fans interests and tastes change a lot in that time especially with the quantity of shows being released now. We are also talking about 2 harem shows that are 6 and 9 years old. I mean I'm sure they will be must have for certain fans, but DVD only and other current potential purchases may not put it high on the list for many people. |

As far as I know they didn't mention anything. |

The partnership Crunchyroll has with Kadokawa Pictures is for new and future titles, not older stuff. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2016/04/11-1/crunchyroll-and-kadokawa-announce-strategic-alliance |
