A shame that their list of games doesn't include the Cowboy Bebop game that's forever lost

That is pretty sad considering it was supposed to simply be delayed for a year...which is kind of a bad omen in itself... I'm debating getting the domestic One Piece Grand Battle or just importing the new Combat Rush. I'll probably just get both, so I don't know why I'm worrying about it. I can also sleep easy at night knowing that the Inuyasha game is being developed by Eighting. There's a fair chance that it could get away with not sucking if they're behind it.[/b] |

What? No Super Robot Wars games over here
it wouldn't be hard for Bandai to release it over here if they wanted considering most of the robot series in SRW are mostly bandai owned or shared properites, ie GUNDAM! |

ADV would likely charge a ton of money for the rights to the Evangelion units. Even worse would be getting Harmony Gold to allow the use of mecha from Macross/Robotech. |

I really hope that some of these games turn out better than other games based on anime that have been released. The DBZ Budokai games were decent but they could've been better. Oh well, I'll wait and read a review for them in a video game magazine.

Hmmm, I thought Naruto games, which rumor has that Bandai picked up the rights to them, would be on the list for sure, but I guess that rumor might be bunk, for now. 20 or so more days to find out.

I suppose the disc you played it on was square, seeing as how you had to have played it in Bizarro World to come to that conclusion. Regardless of what you think of the game, though, it's a nice sign that Bandai USA cares about U.C. Gundam fans. A little weird that it's not on that list, but hey, we're getting it. |

ADV has different rights for Evangelion, they wouldn't have videogame rights, at least I don't think but yeah Harmony Gold which does own ALL rights to Macross/robotech is the real bitch here but most of the robots in the series haven't even been released over here, yet anyways, cause mostly most of them are from the 70's 80s and most are on expired licenses over here like Dancougar, Mazinger Z, Gaiking, Grendizer, Getter Robo, etc the only thing people need over here is just translation of the japanese text, the japanese dub is what makes Robot wars cool cause its the actual Voice Actors from the series, ie the Voice of Koji Kabuto has been doing the voice of him since the beginning from Mazinger Z plus IMO a Dub would ruin a SRW game, like listen to most of the Super Robot series, ESPICALLY Getter Robo, where the pilots Scream their powers and moves right in your ear hehe, GETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTERRRRRRRRRRRRRR SHINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I've seriously gone deaf from doing that haha and I had the TV on mute lol |

er, I played the japanese version release last december (2004). The U.S. version isn't release until June. (Oh yeah, you look really stupid right now.) But if you call japan bizarro world, than that's up to you. I've played a lot of Imported games. You can check out my GANTz (JPN) game update here. Even so, the game is average and isn't even in the same league as God of War or DMC3. I've also played One Piece (JPN), it's like powerstone except a lot more boring. You get an attack move (tap 3 times to do combo) and the special moves are cheesy. I have even played the original cowboy bebop game on the playstation where u fly the the ship through mountains (it was boring). I'm about to play the Naruto & Berserk game next, whenever I see him. I have a friend that run an import game store here in little tokyo. Last edited by darkhunter on Wed Apr 27, 2005 5:00 am; edited 1 time in total |

You can always get the Japanese Cowboy Bebop game for PSX and play it on a PSX emulator. It totally sucks though -- I think I just about beat the first level by holding down the "shoot" button. I was wondering what happened to the PS2 one :\
How is the Ghost in the Shell: SAC game? |

Yup the bebop game suck ass. I was hoping to play as Spike, Jet, or the other cast member. As for SAC, I would let you know but it's for the PSP. And it's a first person shooter, I was really hoping for a nice third person view, kind of like gungrave, so we can check out Motoko. |

Are these games going to be translated version of the JPN? because I thought they were gonna be revisioned ones like what Atari did with DBZ and Konami did with Shaman King PS2! I love one Piece and all but I saaw the battle game with the mini verison of the caharcters and I don't like that! I was thinking they'd make them normal size with better graphics.
(By the way they said shounen jump had a preview of the games in the latest issue can any scan the images and put them up or is that illegal to do that here?) |

Well, since Naruto won't be on Toonami until fall at the earliest, maybe they're waiting to see if the show's a hit in the states before they invest in a localization?
Yeah, we'll probably never see most of the SRW games over here. But, they could still release the ones that only use original robots created for the games...
I remember seeing footage of that game several times and thinking to myself "Wow, does this look terrible." I might be wrong of course, but it looked like a pretty standard beat-em-up to me. If it's been canned, quality might have been why-Bebop is still an important franchise here in the states I don't think Bandai would want anything substandard associated with it. |
