Yes, it has. I'll watch s-CRY-ed. I already own the Escaflowne movie.

Well, I'll watch Scryed even though I have all 6 discs of the anime Laughing. And also Escaflowne: The Movie should be something to see.

I'm with v1cious on this, I'd much rather see the Esca series than a movie that crams the 26 epis into less than 2 hours

I'm pretty sure Fox still has the airing rights to the series, as butchered as their version was.

It wasn't official before if I'm not mistaken. Just a post by an AS guy on the AS forums.

You've never seen the movie, then, have you? It's completely different from the series. Two totally different stories with 2 totally different continuities. The movie is MUCH darker than the series, and more action packed (but still has a good story to it). Don't diss the movie saying it's crammed the series into only 2 hours, as it hasn't Wink.

I just recently saw Escaflowne the Movie and am working my way through the series as well. The movie is much different than the series. They do have the same characters, however the movie is much darker and the series is much more kid oriented.

Nope, it was announced in their press release, see the second post in this topic. Wink

They're showing Escaflowne the movie because the TV series is A) Showing it's age, and B) Toonami fodder.

I'd rather they show Nescaflowne, Laughing but this is equally good.

Well, I guess I'll watch both even though they'll porbably be cut. I really haven't seen a LOT of series.
