this whole thing is going to be a mess from the rita repulsa costumes and the alt costume looking NOTHING like the original and overly political correct casting of the actual power rangers and now their costumes and origin of them.

Oh well, probably best to keep expectations really low anyways.

This is the bed you wanted Saban. I hope you're ready to lay in it when the numbers come back.

Wow. . . . . I was literally speechless when I saw these. O_O;
Right now I can't quite decide if I like them or hate them, but one thing is for sure, they certainly don't remind me AT ALL of the original PR suits. It's like. . . . how do I put it. . . . they look more adult like in design and costume; compared to the child friendly outfits from the shows. They don't look whimsical or magical at all. Just these new thoroughly modernized costumes meant to look and feel bad ass, but somehow feel as though they've completely missed the point on what show they're originally coming from. Maybe it's just me, but the more I see what things they plan to do for this movie, the less I'm reminded that it's actually suppose to be a Power Rangers movie. |

Those mouth guards look ugly and don't flow with the suit, but they look kinda cool. I will keep my expectations low though.

it's just an expression you know in other words these look HORRIBLE, i even think these look better you know what they remind me of, Iron Man, it's like the designer did them after a Marvel Movie binge Last edited by SageModeKakarot on Thu May 05, 2016 11:47 am; edited 1 time in total |

Is it just me or are those suits look seriously SERIOUSLY over designed?

Well, expectations going slim to none, but might watch regardless, this is shaping up to be the next DBE (in terms of not getting things done right with the sources, though its supposed to be its own thing, as a US adaptation), at least the (I forgot) Producer/Director apologized for that, so someone has to come forth if this one doesn't meet expectations.
And yes, muh childhood too, lol. But I really don't mind, the "so bad, its good" trope for movies are always played for laughs. --- Edit/Update: Lastly, at least the 90's MMPR movie did the suits justice. >.> Last edited by NeoStrayCat on Thu May 05, 2016 12:07 pm; edited 1 time in total |

I think they did great when they actually had a diverse cast, but now I have issues with the costumes. Is it REALLY necessary for the women to have breast-shaped chest plates? Not necessary and they add NO protection. They typically need to be bounded for safe battle! Furthermore, THEY DON'T NEED HEELS. That'll make it harder for them to be active in. Did the suit designer try running in wedges to see how practical they are? Probably not. Sigh...

I didn't know Hollywood had rights to the Goggle-V outfits. They might have done better if they mixed the designs with Zyuranger and Ohranger, but that is just me.

Not bad at all. These could have been much worse. It's too bad Rita's outfit wasn't given as much thought as these. I don't get what is so bad about the new suits compared to old. It's not 1995 anymore. They're modernized and go with the genre. It's not like any of them looks like Poison Ivy. They all look like Power Rangers, through and through.
