The Conan streak continues. Terra Formars is at the right spot. I wonder how DSoD would have done had Takahashi kept it as a Kaiba only movie. Guess he made the right choice.

I still believe Conan will be unmoved and untouched until it's 10th week or so.

I really hope the Chihayafuru live action garners enough hype to launch a 3rd season of the anime. Usually for Shoujo/Josei series, once it hits the live action medium, it's over for the anime. I feel like Chihayafuru has the potential to reverse that trend because it has exposed karuta to such a wide and global audience.

At the Cherry Blossom festival in DC last month there was a small street stand dedicated to showcasing karuta. They had the Chihayafuru manga on display since they know that is how most foreigners would recognize the sport. Here's what was exciting though, after the shortened match between the two A class players, they invited the people watching to actually participate in a group match amongst eachother. For handicaps, the first half of the poems were written on the backsides of the cards. It was incredibly fun to play, and just like in the anime the moment you take your first card is one you won't forget.
