Nonetheless, this leaves me hopeful. I'll certinaly buy it in hopes that it shows interest in the live action series as well.

I'll definitely be buying this. This makes me hopeful that the live action TV and special will soon be licensed and distributed.

I didn't like the movie too much, but if the TV series and special ever come out on R1, I am definitely going to buy those. Well, actually the movie was OK, I suppose, so I may buy it eventually if the series comes out too..

I wonder if MB is going to try to dub it like they did with Zero Women.

I thought the movie was good but not as good as the TV series.
I was also un-aware that the movie on the R2 DVD had English subtitles. I know though that I'll be saving some cash and be picking this up in R1 and hopefully we can push to have the TV series and the special, as well as other well-selling anime/manga based drama released here, too. |

If they do pick up the TV series is, I hope they release them in a box set, but the movie will work for now. I also hope they give us the widescreen and all the other bells and whistles.

I hope that they don't dub it. When it comes to live-action films, I prefer subs. GTO is one of my favorite mangas. It was the first manga I read. I never saw the anime and the live action tv series and movie so I'm gonna buy this. |

Maybe a bit off topic but what's the live-action? I've watched GTO TV and I love it, so I'm interested in any other releated anime. Can somebody explain me the difference please?..

There was a live action GTO TV series made in Japan before the anime came out. It uses actual people and is a Masterpiece in my opinion. The drama in this far outdoes the anime and the comedy is pretty good too, though not as outrageous as the anime. But what would you expect in a live action production ? Go here to read up on it a bit more. |

Aaahhh.. thanks a lot. I'm not a native speaker so I really didn't imagine that it could mean a live action, where live means live people .. Well I think I'll give it a try
