Obviously the tsunami did untold damage to homes, a powerplant, etc. But people were also all doom and gloom about the entertainment industry as well. Like how the paper mills were destroyed or something.

But from my end of things, nothing really feels different. All the manga I`ve been watching still have came out as scheduled with no delays, etc.

So was there actually any impact on the industry that the tsunami hadÉ

edit: SHIT! DAMMNIT!! My keyboard is trying to screw with me again!

Okay, just for clarification

é=Slash. As in that diagonal line you use when you say stuff like he-slash-she, etc.

É=Question Mark. As in the interrobang with the tiny exclamation mark taken out of it.

Quite a few shows were delayed or stopped airing entirely at the time of the disaster. Madoka Magica was a pretty high-profile cancellation at the time; the last episodes ended up being streamed rather than televised. Most anime/manga production companies aren't situated in the heavily affected areas though, so the overall impact doesn't seem to have been too heavy.

A very important element of the Pocket Monsters franchise, Team Plasma, still has yet to appear in the said franchise's anime even once, leaving a great possibility for it to be left out of Best Wishes! entirely. As a result, the anime does even less justice to the video games than it usually does, more so being that, by extension, Reshiram and Zekrom, aside from their movie appearances, are left out of the main storyline and spoiler[Genesect will very likely end up with an Arceus-like storyline as to its background (should it even be brought up)]. All in all, just what a waste. I understand there being violence in the series, but the fact that this is a show geared towards Japanese children sort of negates the argument that the amount of violence in the two episodes skipped could give enough justification to have been skipped because of the disaster. Also, it's a contradiction for them to have lower standards than western countries on what they do air, yet be so worried about how tasteful it may be to air such "violent" episodes so soon after the Tohoku catastrophe, and it only becomes more contradictory the more weeks pass without them announcing when they'll air. Hell, they may have well been tossed in the trash at this point.

I saw their point in postponing them then, however when next Sunday does arrive I shant be persuaded to at any point beyond that.
