Everyone has seen a lot of marketing stuff from the most popular series. Ok, that's quite normal, I also have some anime things (posters, statues, etc) in my room or elsewhere. Marketing is supposed to be for making people know something, make publicity. However, after this, does marketing have a limit?
I guess not, nothing on the Earth should surprise us nowadays. However, I'm just commenting that some series are getting more known just for the thousands of money that a rich publicity enterprise spend on it.... I'd like to know if I'm not the only one who thinks this is getting out of control ![]() |

Everything in the US is about marketing. The music and film industries are plagued by it, even to the point where it is detrimental to the quality of what is released. I would only imagine weird marketing tactics for anime will only get bigger in the future.

That Hello Kitty bus is nothing compared to this one:
![]() This looks much more realistic (thus very confusing). I wonder if there were students or parents looking for information about this school. ![]() |

So what exactly is that Lillian University bus for? The school name makes me think it might be for Maria-sama ga Miteru, but the "2005" underneath throws me off.

If you think hard, you'll figure out what it is. ![]() |

Yes, it is for MariMite, but I have no idea about this "2005" either. Live-action? ![]()
IIRC Sanrio recycled them soon after its release, thus the remaining ones became highly prized. |

In Japan, No.
In the United States, Yes. America can only put _________ so many things before people lose interest. Pokemon once sold like hotcakes. Now, sales are pretty much low key. I remember when a pack of Pokemon cards went for $10.00. Now I can find them for $1.50. America looses interest because our country is probably the most rapidly changing one on earth. Japan keeps it's stuff around. Gundam was made in 1979 as is still running massively strong today if not stronger then it ever was despite some distate for the newer Gundam from the older community. Japan even still markets Lupin III and Lupin is older then Gundam if my memory serve me right. It's pretty clear Japan and America are 2 very diffrent countries with 2 very different marketing strategies. |

The hello kiddy van isn't that bad. I think it's kind of neat and would like to see it in real life one day.

The Hello Kitty bus isn't bad. In fact, is cute, and differently as MariMite it's easier to get the idea. I either don't think those buses aren't so extremly. I wanted everyone to put the most representative things they've seen.
And I love that plain, xD. Not loving, it's just is a huge commercial thing. That's maybe something that surprises more...However, about the differences between USA and Japan...No one told where were those photos taken... P.D: Haiseikoh, that's not marketings, that's fanatism! |

How do we know Ayumi Hamasaki's handlers didn't play into this kinda stuff somehow? Free parts, maybe a speaker or two, pay for the Airbrushing..... ![]() ![]() |

Hum....Well, I didn't want to say that are bad things. They're surprising, but I wouldn't care go on those buses. I've seen buses decorated with a huge loaf of bread, hehe (however, that's neither bad).
