hi all im new here
i have a favor to ask if u may help me please i want to know if there is anime like naruto good ninja like naruto with similar moves like transform and all that stuff thnx in advance |

Hmm. I know of a few ninja/swordsmen anime that I really like, but I don't know if they're anything like Naruto (haven't seen it yet...)
Are you looking for just anime similar to Naruto, or would you like something else? The ones I like are less comedy, and a little more serious (well, 3 of them have some comedy). They also qualify as "feudal Japan" anime, if you don't mind that. Here's what I suggest: Inu Yasha Ninja Scroll Rurouni Kenshin Samurai Deeper KYO Samurai Champloo I apologize if you've already heard of or seen any of these, but that's all I can come up with.

Naruto is basically DBZ only with ninjas rather than with "Saiyans." They don't really transform, but they take 8 episodes to power up! That's close enough. :p

Hey! Not like DBZ. Naruto has actual character backrounds for the Villians and the fights go fairly smooth. It's the 6 episodes of flashbacks to childhood and other fights that make the fights last so long.

What King Micah said. I seriously didn't even want to go near Naruto originally because I hate DBZ with a passion, but one day a friend of mine force-fed it to me. It does share the DBZ genre of fighting shonen, but it seriously does have a better storyline and characters than DBZ ever had. Naruto is the sad, pathetic kid pretty much everyone can relate with, and well, all the characters have something enjoyable with them.

Hunter X Hunter is alike and one awsome series. My friend is superhardcore Naruto fan and I gave him HxH series to watch and he nailed em all in one week. HxH is my second favorite anime and it's naruto alike for sure^_^.

No idea. I can't even think of an anime besides Ninja Scroll. The closest thing to another ninja manga other than Naruto is Legend of Kamui, and thats nothing like Naruto.
Initially, I felt the manga was mearly ok and it never really motivated me to look into the series. But around volume 6 or so the storytelling improves dramatically and the paceing is almost perfect. I've read up to 18 now, and I can say its one of the better shonen series I've read. But I haven't gone and looked at the anime because I don't think it will live up to the manga. The main reason the mangas good is Kishimoto's storytelling. Often that element is lost in the anime translation, especially with a long running series. Sure it has interesting characters, but much of the story consists of long, drawn out fights. |

Check out Ninja Cadets, it has a similar feel complete with scrolls, summons, and transformations. It predates Naruto by 4 years or so and left we wanting more (it's only an hour long OAV), which Naruto delivered.

I know I'm opening a can of worms that I have thrown away, I agree with lianncoop. Naruto is very much like DBZ. Dragonball Z, if you watch the show for the story and not for what few people see as random acts of violence, actully has a decent to fair story line. Yeah, a few of the fights do take long time spoiler[ Gaara vs Narotu for one.] If you watch Naruto and Dragonball Z, you start to notice that there is a very decent patern between the two series, as for the characters, yeah, main ones get the all the character delovopment, while charctars like Mr. Satan, I still wonder what is his story before Cell. Now, if like the dark part of Naruto, Dagger of Kamui is very good. But for the over all silly side, I agree with Emerje and go with Ninja Candets. |

I dont like the swords thingy since i have this Rurouni Kenshin and i didn't like it, ,like it sux i ll get ninja scroll and Ninja Cadets, i seen dragonball Z and didn't like it its chit chat in 90% of the episodes naruto is the same but has better charcters moves and story line and its a ninja after all > techniques and that stuff and thats what im lookin for , somethin like that thats why i like it the most HxH = the best i ever seen . one of the greatest so for now NINJA SCROLL & NINJA CADETS anythin else ? |

Naruto suffers from DBZ-esque pacing. How can you not see that? It's very much like DBZ. The battles, power-ups and flashbacks, can all be compared to it.
Granted, Naruto is a far better anime series, but it suffers from the same flaws as Dragonball Z. They are very much alike. |

How about Flame of Recca when it's released? I havn't watch the anime yet but comparing the manga to the manga of naruto, they're very much a like in a way.
