Making a fan comic from a popular anime.
I was wondering....... is it okay to make a fan comic based from an original series and you'd become so popular for making it? Ok the anime Wolf's Rain by Keiko Nobumoto was an epic and outstanding series ever made. Then an artist from DeviantArt made a comic loosely based from the original series and has new characters, new plot and even titled "Wolf's Rain The Next Generation by Kristie Zurlo". As I read it, unlike the original. The original story about wolves are endangered species and the uses illusions to disguise themselves and plan to journey to paradise in order to survive their kind and race. While in the comic, wolves are not endangered, it's a whole different story and adventure, they have solid forms instead of illusions. And even the original characters made an appearance! Is it ok to make comics like this and getting really popular for it? Will the actual creator think it'll be ok for an American artist to do this kind of project of Wolf's Rain? The comic is actually pretty interesting and the art isn't bad at all!. Instead of using illusions like in the original series, they have SOLID human forms!
