I'm not sure if this belongs in events(I'm new at this forum)or anime, but I decided that it is more of an event than an anime post. I know that the Inuyasha movie will air in the following cities on the following days:
July 22-24 San Diego
July 31 Baltimore
August 7 Minneapolis
August 13 San Francisco
August 21 Atlanta
August 28 Philadelphia
September 4 New York City
September 11 Toronto
September 18 Dallas
...according to Shonen Jump Issue 20, but I have no idea at which time and which theater. The ad says there is more info at viz.com, but I've searched the whole site and see nothing. Also, as far as I can tell, animenewsnetwork hasn't covered it either, so I can't find out how I can see it when it reaches Atlanta!

I know what you mean, this is basiccally what happened when Cowboy Bebop the movie came out, it was in like a dozen or so theaters nationwide(3 or 4 of 'em bein' in Cal).

I think they'd(the companies that do their respective anime(s)) probably make a killing on ticket sales if they'd release these movies in more places(except this series of movies which appears to be free, you just download and print the ticket online).

On another note(I forgot to mention it in the earlier post), they did have it in San Diego(that was so awesome, seein' it in the theater).

Thanks for reading.

So will the movie be released anywhere near any one? I know I'm going on Sat. I'm just wondering how big or small the turnouts may be.

It won't be released anywhere really close to me, unfortunatley.
I would be there really early if I were you(if you want to get in), I know that for the Comic-con premiere, there was something like a hundred people that had to be turned away(of course not all theater rooms are the same size), and there was also that "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" thing(which may or may not have lightened the load on how many people were there to watch Inuyasha the movie).

Anyway, hope this helps.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks I wasn't sure if it would be dead or packed. The doors don't open until 9:45pm but I guess I will show up extra early anyways.

I guess something I should've mentioned, at the comic-con premiere, the doors opened about an hour(if my memory is correct) before the movie started, I showed up about an hour and 45 minutes before the doors opened, and I think only about a dozen or so people behind me in line got in.

Thanks for reading.

jeez well I just called the movie theatre that the movie is suppose to be playing at & they say that they don't have it listed as being shown there. I mean what's up with that? Now I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to find out from Viz in time.

I would just print out the ticket, then show up to the theater really early, and then check with the theater(but that's just me).

Thanks for reading.

It's because Viz rented a screen for a private screening. That's why it's not listed on their schedule.

Well The person I talked to said they didn't have it but it turned out that person is a moron cause I called the day of and the person I talked to said they did have it. Anyways I went and it was all little kids which suprised me a little. I went early and no one was there so I left. Then I came back an hour before the doors opened and there was a line but I got there just in time because after I got in line a ton of people showed up. I got in it was OK I really enjoyed the movie in Japanese much more then in english. The japanese voices have much more emotion. But it was fun to see it in english.
