First off, very well written review.
I have to say, for the last few volumes of this manga, I was seriously considering giving it up. It was starting to feel like it was just going to keep wandering aimlessly with no end in sight. This volume, though, gives me more confidence that Motomi does have a specific direction this is going in, and I don't think I'll be calling it quits just yet. The highlight of the volume for me was the text conversation between Teru and Daisy about the...unforgivable act.  I think just about anyone who has ever had someone they really like has had one of those "AUGH! I can't believe I said that!!" moments.
