Weird Ranma Flashback

In the first box set of Ranma 1/2 (Digital Dojo) in one of the episodes with Shampoo, Akane has a flashback of Ranma defending her and I am curious as to why that never happened in any previous episode. Anyone have an explanation?

I do, okay in order to have Shampoo come ealer then olangly planned, the pruduces moved a three episode story arc that is where the flashback is from. It appaers later as the first three episodes of the second season.

In the original manga the Sanzenin/Azusa Skating match came right after Rythmic Gymnastics, however, as Angel Lily said, Shampoo was to be introduced into the story earlier in the anime, so they moved that arc (Skating) to the first episodes of Season 2 (Anything Goes Martial Arts). Not the best of choices, and it looks rather odd to someone whois watching the series, without having read the manga first.

I just noticed that the other day, because I had read the early manga volumes right before watching the show. It shouldn't have been included as a flashback, though it was cute.

The thing is that the seires ran into raiitings trouble which is why the indrused Shampoo ealry, she's one of the most popular charaters on the show. They couldn't get of the flashback before they showed on TV that's why it was on.

lol Thanks because that really threw me off. I thought it might have been some TV Special not included in the DVD's or something.

Which is odd. Shampoo is one of my favorite characters, too, but after the second season, she plays a leading role in roughly 11 episodes. I thought Shampoo was popular, too, but, they stopped showing her very often, and the show runs another 5 seasons...go figure...
