Hi, im planning on pruchasing this series and its sequels/prequels/side-storys after recently seeing episode 1 at a friends house, so i was wondering, could someone tell me what order i need to watch all of them in.

to see .hack//Liminality u'll need to buy the PS2 games and u'll see each comes with a free DVD, and actually you might want to see Liminality first then .hack//sign so you wont be as confused.

Actualy I've beetin Games 1-3, But stuck on 4. The limitaly actulaty stoped, so i am gessing that the games comes next. Hey, a friend of mine tould me about a new .Hack//. It combines The games & .hack//Sign. Its crazy

It could also be the manga .hack//Another Birth, which is a gorgeous mix of tradition and CGI work. It is a manga interpretation of what you were supposed to get out of the games. This is my Timeline for .hack (I help run a .hack//DUSK forum): .hack//AI Buster This is a short Novel that occurs before .hack//sign .hack//SIGN This is the 26 episode TV series concerning both on-line and off-line (though, mostly on-line) .hack//ZERO Another novel (series?) which takes place between SIGN and PS2 Games. .hack//Infection Is the 1st PS2 game, which continues the story of the on-line characters. .hack//Liminality 1 1st OVA episode, which continues the story of off-line characters. Liminality 1 and Infection occur at the same time. .hack//Mutation 2nd PS2 game. Runs at the same time as Liminality 2. .hack//Liminality 2 2nd OVA episode. Same time as Mutation. .hack//Outbreak 3rd PS2 game. Runs at the same time as Liminality 3. .hack//Liminality 3 3rd OVA episode. Same time as Outbreak. .hack//Quarantine Final PS2 game. Ends at same time as Liminality 4. .hack//Liminality 4 Final OVA episode. Wow that is a lot of .hack// stuff. I allways tought that liminality was befor the game. But that really helps people (like me) out with the time line.

Each episode of Linimality occurs at the SAME time as the corresponding PS2 Game. Complicated, huh?  "

Anyway, one of the episodes of SIGN (Like 27 and 28) are suppose to take place after the games, but before Legend of the Twilight.. |

28 is called Unison. I'm guessing 27 must be the episode you are referring to between games and DUSK. Intermezzo is the name of 27 if I recall correctly, and I wasn't sure what it was supposed go in the sequence so I 'conveniently' left it out!

Intermezzo probably fits somewhere in the early episodes of SIGN. It involves Mimiru and Bear looking for something Mimiru encountered on her first visit to The World. Most of the episode is in done in retrospect.
Unison takes place after the 4th PS2 game, between it and LotTB, I think. I have yet to watch it because I haven't finished the games yet. |
