Each chapter is only four pages long—and nothing of import ever seems to happen!

Shouldn't that be "importance"? Sorry I have nothing else to say about this article Smile

Merriam-Webster online says:
Import
Function: noun
Date: circa 1568
1: importance ; especially : relative importance [it is hard to judge the import of this decision]
2: purport , signification
3: something that is imported
4: importation

So it's a synonym... I get the feeling from the review that she didn't deem this thing was worth the time it took to type four more letters! Anime hyper

I dunno, I have this, and I found the shorter stories/strips kind of relaxing, with slightly offbeat characters who don't really get much done, but get together, eat, and have the occasional magical mishap. I suppose it depends on if you're a fan of gag comics, and your sense of humour [chain smoking talking cat? I like that].

The fact the word "Pooh" is used reminds me of a cartoon that had a yellow bear that liked honey that was on television ages ago.

As someone who never liked Disney's take on the story, I found the Russian version to be oddly enchanting.

Sorry to get offtopic but the Soviet version is spectacular though to fully appreciate it's required to know the language. There are literally hundreds of Soviet cartoons that I consider to be masterpieces and I'm really grateful that many of them end up on YouTube for everyone to watch. Now if only we could get good subtitles for them.

Wow, I didn't think my comment about the manga title would receive this much response. Always a postive action when a response is elected though.

I haven't read this one, so I can't actually disagree with the review, but I wonder if it's overly harsh on the series for not having a plot (I recall reading a review of Galaxy Angel that complained about the same thing). Are you sure it's not just a gag series? No plot is fine in those things.

Of course, the review also says it isn't funny...
