It seems 4Kids has obtained the license to F-Zero as it'll be on their fall line-up for Fox Box, announced yesterday. It also looks as if they changed the name of Hollywood Mew Mew back to the original, Tokyo Mew Mew.
All this news is found in the pdf below:

I'm glad that Tokyo Mew Mew was changed back, but F-Zero is licensed now. Anime cry

I dunno where, but certian people are insinuating that TMM was changed to its original title because 4kids are listneing to "the fans". I'd just like to say, no, they aren't. Or atleast, those chances are very very slim.

Never heard of F-zero though

This isn't really bad news all togeather, because I don't think anyone was ever actively fansubing it. Then again, 4Kids got it, so expect nothing less then the worst Very Happy .

Aww. =/

Why do people insist that 4kids doesn't listen to the fans? What have they done this far that would imply that? Aside from the lack of unedited DVDs (for now) what have they done that's so wrong?

Let me guess, James doesn't have boobs and Yugi doesn't have a gun? Am I close?

As for F-Zero, not a surprise, 4Kids gets all of Nintendo's anime.

This is like the third thread on the TMM name...

2 in the anime forum and 1 in the talkback forum.

Yes, but none of these topics talk about F-Zero (which must have been overlooked since it was in the press release but not mentioned in the news).

I'm not saying you should hate 4kids (I sure as hell don't), I was saying this so certian people don't strut their stuff and act like a king.

And well, yeah, the lack of unedited DVDs and name/music changes DO pretty much show they don't really care about it, which isn't so bad considering FUNimation takes care of us anyway.

I seriously hope that F-Zero the anime dosen't get butchered to the point that Nintendo has to change huge story portions of the accompanying GBA game coming out this fall.

What would have to be changed? Besides, all 4Kids normally does is take out all the explicit references to death and heavy weaponry, and only has them implied. That, and give Eric Stuart and Dan Green half of all the roles. ^__~
