If I.G. is doing it I guess I'll watch it because of them. I don't think I.G. does these types of Genres often too.

Production I.G + Tony Taka designs = Droolworthy (that is, if they plan on staying in line with them)
I know there was an adaptation of Shining Tears/Wind a few years ago, but I'll be very interested in seeing how this turns out. I.G's TV shows have been looking very good for the last couple of years, so I will certainly be looking forward to some high-quality T2 designs in motion.

Didn't know Shining Hearts were using Tony Taka designs . Hell i didn't know that Tony Taka actually allowed it since the majority of the animations based from his work are hentai titles ( Fault,Sora no Iro Mizo No Iro )
Though having his designs combined with Production IG is definitely droolworthy, thought it would have been interesting if MADHOUSE was doing it instead of IG.
Now that news would be truning lots of heads.
An Anime project that have the backing of Madhouse , combined with the designs of Tony Taka? The potential for that anime project would be limitless.

Yeah it'll be worth giving it an initial chance, to see how they adapt the JRPG story, just to see how the visuals come out. Production I.G quality art/animation of Tony Taka's designs (as you said hopefully they capture them properly so they look like his) and their action animation could make for a gorgeous looking show.
