Hopefully this is PSN exclusive, not PS3 exclusive. I've heard rumblings that Sony intend to expand the PSN account to PSP and PC, and I'd much rather watch anime in HD on my monitor than in SD on a TV.

I'm pretty excited about this! I can't wait to see what series are offered. It's going to be a great way to check out series without committing to buying an entire DVD.

Regardless, I'll be checking this out tonight!

I was watching their conference and they said something about that, that they don't want to restrict their network to just PS3, so you can still have an account without a PS3. I'm not sure if this applies to the videos though...however, they did say that any video you download on PS3 you can transfer to your PSP.
And the trailer looked pretty sweet quality-wise. Much higher quality than it would be on PC methinks.

Are the SD episodes and the HD episodes priced any different?

Not according to the conference. They said 1.99 for EITHER SD or HD content.

I am looking at the PSN right now, and it is $3.99 for the HD Rental, $2.99 for the SD Rental.

I will wait for fansubs.

They are priced differently.

Also the new Bones show has a relatively ludicrous price for digital distro. 3 dollars for SD, 4 dollars for HD, and they seem to be only rentals for that show (and it doesn't seem to say how LONG the rental lasts for).... or am I just missing a button that lists that stuff?

edit- bah foiled, someone else pointed it out ludicrous price while I was typing.

Wow...was not expecting anything of the sort to happen. I'm quite shocked and don't know what to say. This isn't a bad thing at all, I'm not saying that, but certainly I imagine a lot of people weren't expecting something like this. Of course, I could be overstepping my bounds...Anyway, since I'm quite positive this isn't restricted to PS3 (i.e. you can use a PC), I'm sorta looking forward to this.

Can you watch it on a PC? I tried downloading the trailer to the PC and it didn't work; so does that also apply to the individual episodes?
