Yo, it JT cool. The poster that's been signed up since last summer, but still only has 3 posts.
Anyway, the episode of South Park "Good Times With Weapons" was in my opinion a great episode. I was LMAO at the South Park humor mixed in with an anime like show. I don't really want to ruin any moments in the episode, but there were quite a few memorable ones including the anime versions of Professor Kaos and Chef.
If you didn't see this episode, try catching it this weekend. It's funny as hell. :y:

I actually stopped watching South Park after graduating high school, but a lot of people really seem to be pushing for the viewing of this episode.
Can't say I'll go out of my way to plan and watch it, but if I happen to run into it, then I guess I'll give it a see.
I just think it's kinda weird that I saw Furi Kuri/Fooly Cooly/FLCL last week, in which an episode of it made fun of South Park, and now this episode shows up. Weird...

Except for the theme song, presumably written and performed by Trey Parker (a Japanese major in college), with the bad "Engrish", I thought that the "anime" segments, which seemed to be as much from Street Fighter II as from actual anime, were amusing for a couple of minutes but then got kind of repetitive, though that's partially because I'm not really a fan of the sort of anime in question.
What happend to Butters, especially with the dogs, was disturbing, though, and I did like the ending. On the whole, I didn't think the episode was nearly at the level of "The Deathcamp of Tolerance" (the finest satire I have ever seen in any animated series), "Scott Tenorman Must Die", or "Cartman Joins NAMBLA", and, for anime spoofs, I still prefer "Chinpokomon" and "Trapper Keeper".

That was a brief segment, not an entire episode, and it wasn't "making fun" of South Park.

I didn't mean to imply it was the "entire episode." And if it wasn't making making fun of South Park, what was it doing? Was it just a part of the show?
Oh, and welcome to the forum!

YES!! That episode was excellent! The best South Park anime parody since Chinpokomon and Trapper Keeper!! Especially the Initial D-ish theme song with engrish, that was pure goodness. I really respect the directors of that episode, 'cause they didn't overinflate anime and make it look stupid, but were successful in creating a stereotypical anime, and it was enjoyable.

Here's the translated lyrics of the first part (sorry, don't have the romaji with me). I consider this a SPOILER, because I think its classic (for a South Park episode, at least). Watch this episode!
Magnificent cocks
It is ballsack hair
Making a "serubobo" sound
No! I am a ninja!
Hey Hey Let's go! I'm drunk!
An important thing, protect my balls
I am being bad, so let's fighting
Let's fighting love
Let's fighting love

No, the first line of the chorus is "Hey Hey Let's Go! Kenka suru.", "Kenka" meaning "Fight" or "Quarrel".

Oh my God, I pissed my pants at that episode, especially the theme song- thanks for the translation, I knew it had to have some good jokes in there. I think this will be one of my new favorite episodes, although did anyone else find it to be short?

That episode was great especially since I'm a big Butters fan. The ending was hilarious as well.

Poor Butters. I looked away when he got the ninja star in his eye. Of course, it had to be Kenny to do it (I always loved Kenny, because his name is mine )
And Kenny didn't die! Butters got horribly injured and would probably die soon, but Kenny lived! Yay!
I watched the show twice already, and I loved it so much.
"Now with my powers, I will turn Kyle into a chicken!"
"Damnit Cartman!"
I loved that part.
I have recently become a South Park fanatic O_o And this, Chinpokumon, and the Jennifer Lopez episode have made me love it even more.

This was hillarious, especially the way they changed the scenes. You're starting to get into the anime battle, but then you see Butters with a shuriken in his eye.
Oh, and Anime Chef owns you all.

I'd call it a tribute. A fairly awesome one at that.
As for a general comment on this episode; Yes, Chef was amazing, and he needed more screen time.
