I happened to catch a few pics of from this manga called Tenjou Tenge (天上天下), and I really got sucked into the art... but know nothing about the manga.
Anyone have any information on this? I checked the Encyclopedia, but nothing.... |

I read a couple chapters. The art sucked me in too. Let's just say from what I read, it's pure shonen. I don't remember a lot of things, but... umm... there were these sisters, and I forget what exactly, but the oldest looked like a little girl or old lady, and the other... I think she needed to get laid... I could be wrong on that. I don't remember too much. Anyway, these sisters know how to fight... and umm... all else I remember from the manga was a TON of fanservice, more then I could really force myself to sit through, and a lot of fighting.

i've read it up to the latest scantalation, and it's a good series. All fighting and fanservice. Art is great, beautiful characters, both guys and girls look great, action is as... realistic as japanese girls with extremely large breasts can get. But story wise is interesting too, if gets a little confusing. It's almost.. politcal.. groups of people with various martial arts on their side vying for power. It just gets more complicated as it goes. i like it at least

Tenjou Tenge is my favorite manga. It's beautiful, ridiculous and loads of fun. The basic story involves a group of marital arts clubs vying for power inside a school; it's really over the top but the artwork is amazing. Oh! Great, the pen name for the guy drawing it, also does AirGear, a sort of sci-fi rollerblade show, and Himiko-Den, which was made into a terrible anime. Here's hoping the Tenten anime, which I've been waiting for for 2 years, doesn't suck.

Managed to find a few chapters online... looks good enough. I already like Bob Makihara... Shinichirou is just a punk, though...
Might have to pick this one up.... |

I've only read the first few chapters but found it pretty good...I think. It was about a year or two ago when I read it, so I don't exactly remember that much about it.

Umm... well... as to English... no, the manga hasn't been liscensed yet. If you look hard enough, you can find fanscanlations around.
As to where to buy them, you can go to pretty much any on-line manga store. Here's some of my faves: Http://www.jpqueen.com http://www.sasugabooks.com/ But yeah, pretty much for sale through importers. |

Yeah, its a great manga. Learned about through a wallpaper, I looked into it, and it definately near or at top of my favorites list.It seems so simple, yet it draws you in to see where it goes. Its no wonder its Oh! Great's longest running series. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait two years for the anime. Here's hoping to a great series.

O, I love Tenjou Tenge. It's my favorite biseinen manga... rawr. And the art... oh the art is so delicious. Especially after volume 6 or so. So gorgeous. :9
I didn't really like the first volume or so (I stopped reading it after the aforementioned volume... but then I saw the cover for volume 9--the one with Maya-chan on the cover--a few years later while at Asahiya and just had to read the series again) and started reading it backwards. I think it caught my interest at around volume 3 (after Mitsuomi comes in) so I haven't actually really read volumes 1-2. ^^; But now, I can't get enough... ~.~ Only a few more days until volume 11 is released. *waits diligently* |

I love this manga. I've read up to volume 10 and can't wait to see more of it when the next collected volume comes out. Unfortunately I don't think the anime is gonna be very good. Since it's only 26 episodes the manga is not finished yeat I really wonder how they are gonna end the anime. I hope it's not as bad as Recca's ending but I will still enjoy the manga it's really fun.
