The lackeys generally have better voice actors than in the American version. I'm also amused that this is rated PG-12. Other than that, I can't tell what's different from what we got here.

Hopefully we can get the directors cut over here at some point. Been holding off on buying the american-cut version.
There would be a good chance of a Japanese track on that. |

And in the end, there wasn't only one.

I'm kind of wondering why this warrants a director's cut in the first place. I caught the Sci-Fi broadcast of it and it...really wasn't that good. Certainly not offensively bad (like a few of the OVAs that network has recently aired...), but it's definitely nothing at all special. The thick Scottish accents during a few of the flashback scenes were kind of awesome, though.

As long as I can get my directors cut, I'll be happy.
Top Gun, Sci-Fi edited a few scenes out. Specifically a sex scene and some language. |

Onoz, I didn't get to see two animated people have sex. This has greatly detracted from my enjoyment of the movie. It is surely a master work when viewed with that scene in its proper place.
...or not. |

If ya guys want to know what the differences are, read this AICN interview of Highlander producer Galen Walker.
Remember folks, just because something is long and descriptive doesn't necessarily mean it's better. Watch it and judge for yourself. I'm sure many of yous aren't looking forward to Peter Jackson's 24-hr director's cut of King Kong. |

I'm still not entirely convinced that seven or eight more scenes in a fairly crappy, dissapointment (wait, it's Highlander, why be dissapointed? I know what its going to be like!) of a film is going to make it better.
But I guess thats part of the choice people make when they can decide their own entertainment or something. |
