I see they're going for a more classic look. Nice.

A total of 228 TV episodes, and only 30 have ever been aired on national television in the U.S., with a few local stations(i.e. one here in SoCal and, I think, in Hawaii) sporadically broadcasting the series.
Not to mention the crapload of Lupin movies and specials that may get a lonely slot on some satellite channel, or have never aired outside of Japan. Is there anyway for a native English-speaking Lupin fan to legally own it?
Looks great, though. Old-school style.

There are lots of Lupin movies and TV episodes legitimately released, and lots that aren't.
Available in English:
All 6 theatrical films:
-Strange Psychokinetic Strategy (1974 live-action, subtitled only)
-Mystery of Mamo (4 English dubs in total!, a few US releases, all OOP)
-Castle of Cagliostro (2 English dubs, multiple US releases, supposedly OOP but easy to come by)
-Legend of the Gold of Babylon (English-subtitled on VHS or LaserDisc only and very OOP)
-Die, Nostradamus! (1 bilingual DVD that's OOP)
-Dead or Alive (same as above)
9 TV Specials (I'll use English release names):
-Voyage to Danger ('93)
-Dragon of Doom ('94)
-Pursuit of Harimao's Treasure ('95)
-Secret of Twilight Gemini ('96)
-Island of Assassins ('97)
-Crisis in Tokyo ('98)
-The Columbus File ('99)
-Missed By a Dollar ('00)
-Episode Zero: First Contact (2002, English-subbed only DVD)
(All TV specials are OOP on DVD except Episode Zero.)
1 OAV (had a brief theatrical run):
-The Fuma Conspiracy ('87) - Still in-print and easy to find.
TV Series:
-Part I / First Series / "Green Jacket": Complete English-subtitled-only release coming next year in US, includes the short Lupin III Pilot Films.
-Part II / Second Series / "Red Jacket": Roughly half of the series was released on DVD w/English dubs and subtitles by Pioneer/Geneon across over a dozen individual volumes. Now all OOP, pretty hard to come by later volumes.
What ISN'T legitimately available in English, or at least has not yet been licensed:
-4 TV Specials 1989~1992
-TV Special 2001 (Alcatraz Connection)
-8 TV specials 2003~2010
-TV Series "Part III" / "Pink Jacket" (50 episodes)
-TV series "Part II" / "Red jacket" Episodes 80~155
-OVA: Return of Pycal (2001/2002?)
-OVA: Green vs. Red (2009?)
I think that's all we're missing, honestly. The second manga series was left unfinished in English, also, but supposedly it wasn't a hot seller anyway.

Wish TMS would allow a legal streaming site like Crunchyroll to simulcast this.

I too would love if TMS allowed legal streaming on some of the unlicensed Lupin anime as well. Though I am still very interested how well this Lupin TV special turns out since it has three characters now being voiced by three different actors.
