I was hopeful, but they are so generic it hurts. Even their uniforms are mostly the same. I guess when it comes to shojo, you don;t have to try as hard

I don't see any connection to any actual Sakura Taisen with those dudes. It is in name only.

I've only played Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love, so I don't mind this manga being aimed at females, since it was awkward hitting on other girls.
I'm interested to see where this goes. I did notice that they all had the same uniform, but I'm assuming that's because they're all from an opera company or something. Surely you can't dismiss this because of that. If the manga ends up being terrible, I don't think it will solely be because they are wearing the same thing.

I think it's really cool that they're expanding the franchise's target demographic! It's hard to live up to Kosuke Fujishima's character designs, but I hope this manga catches on. It seems like a fun idea.

UGH! To think that something that has Sakura Wars in the title will have such generic character designs is aweful! Fujishima-sensei's designs are so beautiful, these are just boring. It looks like 90 percent of the other shojo stuff out there.

I'm not going to judge untill I actually read the thing. To be honest, I really hope the scanlators pick this up. A genderbent version of Sakura Wars should be interesting.
