Well, just finished watching the last episode this on Sci-fi Channel. I'm not entirely sure what to think about this show.
Does anyone know if there's going to be a second season? It seems too open-ended. And they never actually defeated the bad guys. The whole backstory with Suzu's death was tearjerking though.

To be honest, I didn't find it so much "tearjerking" as utterly random and bizarre. We suddenly skip six months ahead, only to find out that the cute adorable loli randomly died of a cold right after the previous episode? And she's been running around as a ghost with everyone none the wiser ever since? Just...why? It felt completely out-of-place with the rest of the series' happy-go-lucky feel, and it seemed like the most convoluted method of getting Kantarou and Haruka back together. (Lol, yaoi.) And in the end, nothing at all had changed from the start of the series (well, besides Suzu, obviously), and everyone reverted back to their normal slapstick roles. I enjoyed the series as basic entertainment, but I feel like it could have pulled something better together for a finale than throwing that out at us.
(Oh, and did anyone happen to stick around for Psychic Wars afterwards? If there's a better candidate for Not-so-Buried Garbage, I haven't seen it. What a train wreck. )

I agree, I thought this ending seemed random as well, not tear-jerking. I have never heard rumor of another season, and I frankly doubt there would ever be one, and I am fine with that.

I recorded it and will watch it...
I couldn't stay awake apparently, I fell asleep as soon as it started. I don't expect it to be good, everytime I opened my eyes it looked and sounded cheesy bad.

Oh yeah I saw Psychic Wars too. What a piece of crap that was! I was struggling to sit through the whole thing. It took so much effort. I definitely think that deserves to have a section in Buried Garbage.

I was very sad. It's just the way I am. Still, I couldn't help but wonder why they found it necessary to go that route. Now the only shot of Suzu in the OP being her picture on that table makes sense. I always wondered about that.

I wondered about that too. I had a feeling there was something symbolic about it.
