I noticed that AnimeNewsNetwork did not have a review on Goong and I don't know how to add one so I decided that I'll post it on this forum. Goong was a great Manga and I totally loved it so I thought that such good manga/manwa shouldn't go to waste so I'll share it with the rest of you, who are interested in a very interesting, heart straining, funny and exciting manga.
Goong takes place in a palace. Shin (17) is the beautiful handsome Seja(prince) who was just admitted in a public school. There he meets Chae(17) a very stubborn and straighforward girl. Right away they dislike each other but they both don't know what fate has in store for them both. To make matters worse Chae accidently hears Shin propose to one of his best friends but she refuses him and Chae now has to make as if she didn't see anything. As if things couldn't go any more wrong for poor Chae she hears that she has to marry the prince due to a promise that has been made by her grandfather and his grandfather long ago. When she enters the life of a Sejabin she has to learn how things work and how to behave but even before their reltionship starts Shin lets Chae know that he's going to divorce her after a few years.
As knew things unravel and secrets are being exploided Shin and Chae are dragged into it all. Will they ever tell each other about how they feel or will Shin do what he said at the beginning of their marriage.

I love this kind of dramatic storytelling, no matter how ridiculous it gets, with massive planet-destroying neon space lasers and missiles firing in all directions.― Sometimes being a fan of the Space Battleship Yamato/Star Blazers remake series is suffering. On the one hand, it's a stunningly successful update of the 1970s/80s original, one of the most glossy modern sci-fi anime in existence; on th...

I've been playing otome games for quite some time, and I feel confident in saying Battlefield Waltz is the most difficult I've encountered. Before picking it up, I had (foolishly) thought that otome games like the ones that form the basis of the manhwa se...
From Giant Iggy to Steel Ball Run, we have a full report of JOJODAY in Shibuya!― Just over a decade ago, the anime world was graced with an adaptation of one of the most artistically beautiful shonen manga series: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Lynzee suits up for her maiden voyage aboard White Base and now she never wants to leave.― Happy Friday, 'Loggers! I'm back after a brief hiatus that involved a two-week stint in Japan to cover the AnimeJapan event, attend no less than 20 meetings, and venture out to an animation studio to film and interview some pretty prominent veterans (keep an eye out for that). In the midst of my journey, I th...
With yet another RPG power fantasy at the helm, what you see is what you get, but what you’re getting ain’t half-bad either.― Sometimes I feel like fantasy RPG anime was on the tape in Infinite Jest. With so many of these shows pumped out per year, it feels like an onslaught we're forced to watch until the point of collapse. It's so easy to become cynical and jaded by it all. So when the first bit o...

It’s almost impressive how simultaneously over- and under-explained this series can be.― I'm unsure whether or not this applies to the visual novels they're based on, but as far as the anime goes, Phantom Trigger is something of a black sheep among the various Fruit of Grisaia titles. “Phantom Trigger just isn't as good,” you'll often hear Grisaia fans say some version of, “And I don't like the main...
