So this seems like the third anime distributor on iTunes, after Funimation and Tezuka, right? I've bought from the others (Rumbling Hearts from Funimation, Phoenix from Tezuka), and wish that Funimation would release more and bigger shows in this format (you don't see them offering crown jewels like Fullmetal Alchemist, now do you?). Seems like Gits:SAC is the most appealing of the Manga shows, and it would be nice to see more, and sooner. Guess we'll wait and see how this works out for them.

Interesting move by Manga/STARZ, they continue to do all the right things while having not nearly enough shows. I really wish they'd hurry up and license some more series. If they keep to their current release structure (cheap singles, English dub, on disc extras, fewer singles for longer series, cheap boxsets) then they will keep getting my business on the DVD end.

The American companies can only offer up series that the Japanese creators allow them too. Many Japanese companies are afraid of allowing for legal downloads, since they fear this will only add to the damage done by the illegal downloads, rather than alleviate it.

I think this is an excellent idea, and while I do not plan on buying from iTunes (I prefer physical DVDs) I hope to see more shows in there. I think a big draw, at least for the fansub enthusiasts, would be an option to download the legal subtitled version for a fee. I know this is something that FUNImation says they want to be able to do.

And, of course, the UK; inspite of having the same damn laguage and the same damn licencing company, is left in the cold.
