Am I the one person who didn't love Mami in Madoka? I don't know, twindrills just do nothing for me... I still miss Kanade.

I say Mami has Sakura cold in the field. Her offensive power is second to none with quite a range of ranges and power effects. And her upper body seriously outperforms Sakura's in every way. What do you say, Marv?

(They really need sports announcers for Saimoe.)

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I too didn't care for Madoka all that much, it wasn't bad mind you, but like a lot of series over the last couple years it was just so over hyped that it failed to meet the expectations and anticipation I had gathered before watching it.

It would've been interesting if all the girls from Madoka had made it past their first initial rounds (ie Homura's loss to Mikoto Misaka possibly because of inflation) to see how that would've played out. Would she have gotten further? Lost in a legitimate upset?

Apparently there was a confession to the cheating on baidu after Mikoto Misaka lost to Astarotte...? The cheater might have also been inflating Tenshi's votes. Which is sad, since I love Tenshi...

IP bans yay. Anime dazed

I'm not surprised that Mami of all the remaining Madoka girls won though. Pretty anticlimatic in that respect.

Hmm, I wonder where Mami is going to put her crown. Ahh, well! Also amusing is I believe this the first Saimoe winner to have boobies! Laughing

Saimoe 2012 is going to be even more ridiculous because the girls from Idolmaster, Black Rock Shooter, Nisemonogatari, that upcoming AKB48 anime series, plus a ton more other series I've missed, and ones not yet announced are going to compete.

Oh yes, I was just wondering if it might be possible to actually see those two in a match again. With Idolm@ster and such, it would just be too funny if they did.

Marv here. I think we're looking at a closer match than you think. Sakura's own ability to put up a fight doesn't fall too far short and the extended time she's had on the field may or may not give her an edge. It's also hard to say if Mami's heavy top half will give her an advantage in this match. Indeed, looking at the other finalists that moved through the preliminary rounds, she seems to be the exception to the rule in that respect. Back to you.

Twindrills, big sister personality, spoiler[ the way she finished her fight in episode two like a boss (the teacup at the end)], skilled musket shooter, zettai ryouiki, probably the best puella magi outfit. What's not to love?

I'm surprised she beat Madoka, but I not that she beat Kyouko.
