Darth Vader: Obi-wan never told you what happened to your father.
Luke: He told me enough! He told me you killed him!
Darth Vader: Listen to me, girls. I am your father!
Luke: MOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! MOEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! That's impossible!

I'm hoping the "romantic" aspect of this show is directed towards the surrogate father's college-aged female friends, and the slice-of-life antics are with his family. So long as he doesn't end up incest-ing his middle school, fifth grade, and toddler girls, I see no reason for me to dislike this show.
Bunny Drop minus the squick ending + Genshiken? Can I dare hope for so much?

I really hope this doesn't go these, has anyone actually read the light novel? That would answer a lot of questions...

Hmmm...I think I'll like this series.
This sounds oddly similar to another manga about a kid suddenly becoming a father of a couple of cute girls...
I think it was ...

I read the manga and the main character (Age 19) is a father figure to Hina (I think she's 4-5..?? and she is his niece by blood) he's like a brother to the other two (one is 10 and the other is 12) The 12 year old has a crush on him. His romantic interest is his clubmate (?) Raika-san. There's quite a bit of ecchi so if any of that bothers you then don't read. I think this has a pretty good plot and the comedy is good.

I'll warn you though there is a lot of panty shots and a chapter where Hina pees her pants and the main guy has to take her a bath (you see pee). Nothing sexual about the whole chapter, but just wanting you to know so you wont be surprised. Btw, what is up with Japanese people and taking baths together? lol

It's just a bath...it's not like everyone will start doing each other when they're done.

This sounds an awful lot like a rip-off of "Raising Helen" (2004). Sister and her husband die in a car accident leaving three children to be raised by a sibling who is very ill-prepared to raise them? Ring any bells?

I would assume it originated with saving water perhaps, or the fact Japan still had (and still has) public bath houses. Bathing with your family isn't a big deal.. I'm sure mothers do that with their babies/young kids a lot.
Anyway, the description reminded me of Mitsudomoe a bit, which I loved, so I'll check this out.

I never said or implied that I thought they did each other when taking a bath together. I just think it's weird since when I was growing up my mother was the only one to take me a bath til I was around maybe 6-7 but never did she get in at the same time.
Thank you, TitanXL for answering me properly.

Exactly. Didn't you ever take baths with your parents or siblings growing up? I did, and I didn't end up wanting to marry any of my relatives or anything.
Glad to hear about the themes of this show. I'll definitely be giving it a go when it airs.
