Slow week. I am somewhat pleased to see the Tylor BD box's low sales. Nothing against Tylor, and granted, older series don't usually sell so well on re-release. But VAP didn't bother with a new HD telecine for it, instead just upscaling the master used for the DVD remaster from 5 years ago, and didn't bother to mention that fact in any of their info for it. Poor sales are what they rightfully deserve.

I'm just glad I didn't find out first hand, because that would have been about $500 worth of angry. That's a lot of angry.

Looks like yuriyuri is doing really well. With these sort of sales it might even encourage them to do another season. I'd be interested to see how it has affected the sales of the associated manga.

Poor Rio. Guess we won't get season 2.

At least we got an OVA

I hope so!
I'd love to see another season!

I'd also love it if one of the R1 companies would pick it up, so I could have the first season in my collection.
Looking at who picks up what in terms of licenses, Sentai is probably the best candidate for a yuri title.
But seeing as how they haven't picked it up yet, it's probably either too expensive, or they just didn't want it.
Which is kind of sad, since it was actually rather enjoyable.
