I ran across something really interesting: The Web site for a Japanese store that sells life-sized anime character dolls from a number of different series. First link is to their home page with views of their showroom, 2nd link is to their online catalog. Text is all Japanese.
If I got the exchange rate right, each of these dolls is around $2,000-$3,000 a copy, plus shipping. The dolls are articulated and poseable, and the store offers alternate outfits to dress your character doll in. I saw characters from Eva, Tenchi, Chobits and more. I didn't notice any Inuyasha characters, though. (The idea of a life-sized poseable Kikyo doll inspires thoughts too weird for polite company.) Links are: https://secure.pmoon.co.jp/TOUSHINDAI/index.html https://secure.pmoon.co.jp/TOUSHINDAI/Chara/Chara.html But what an addition to your anime home theater (assuming you're rich enough to afford one and the doll, too)! I don't even want to guess why they sell life sized anime dolls...

Yeah, this has actually been a big hobby in Japan for a few years now. These aren't bad at all, but some of the hobbiest dolls are outstandingly realistic.

Ayanami's head just looks a little...off to me. I guess its that extra dimension throwing things askew.
EDIT: I'd rather have a life-size Pen-Pen anyway. |

Welcome to the weird world of kinky sex toys, I saw a strange story a few weeks ago at MDN news in thier wai wai section and ran down a place called Candy girls @ http://www.green.co.jp/orient/ .They have a english side to thier site, don't say I didn't warn you but it is seriously weird, don't worry to much about it's PG-13 content it's the idea behind it that counts in this matter. Oh by the way MDN news is

Er, yeah, that's a little different, those are more like life sized sex toys (there's an american company that makes those too, but I wont get into that here) while the original link is to just life sized dolls.

*Falls out, laughing*
Ohhhh man. The "Engurish" alone is worth a look at the page. I've never seen a Japanese website with an English section (I don't visit them often). It's comedy. Of course, any attempt I made at Kanji would be much worse and admittedly, unreadable. But still...*Falls out again* "For sanitary purposes, ALL SALES ARE FINAL!" Yeah they are! Syker Seven |

I'd like to have a life size Duo or Vash, and then stick in the front window. Someone close to my old school did that with a Dilbert. I'd want to see if I can scare people or something.

Yea, that would be fun to do with an Alucard doll from when he was locked in the dungeon.
Hide that in your friends closet |

I want one of those life sized sex dolls too. I would get a gundam model of those dolls, but i don't think they are making those yet.
